Part-Time Surgical Dental Assistant Position in a busy Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Practice

Position: Surgical Dental Assistant (four days per week 08:00am to 5:30pm - NO weekends)
Responsibilities:
- Assisting our surgeon during procedures, including both under local and general anaesthetic
- Preparing treatment rooms
- Providing post-operative instructions and patient education
- Adhering to infection control protocols
- Sterilisation and maintenance of surgical instruments
- Clinical photography
- Performing intraoral scans prior to implant procedures
- Performing OPG x-rays and cone beam CT scans under instruction from our surgeon (if you hold a Certificate IV in Dental Radiography)
Qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
- Basic knowledge of surgical procedures e.g. removal of impacted teeth, placement of dental implants (training will be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
