HRM Contracting & Consulting is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and passionate Trainer - Individual Support to join a leading organisation within the NDIS and community services sector.
Based in Caloundra, this is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference by equipping the next generation of support workers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver high-quality care within the community.
About the Role
As the Trainer - Individual Support, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and compliant training and assessment programs, supporting students throughout their learning journey, and helping them achieve nationally recognised qualifications.
Working within a supportive Registered Training Organisation (RTO), you will collaborate with students, employers and industry stakeholders to ensure positive learning outcomes while maintaining compliance with the VET Quality Framework and training standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accredited training and assessment in Individual Support.
- Facilitate engaging classroom and practical learning experiences.
- Assess student competency and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop positive relationships with students, employers and community stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate student records and training documentation.
- Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
- Adapt training delivery to meet diverse learner needs while ensuring compliance with RTO standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or Diploma or higher in Adult Education).
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability.
- Current industry experience within the aged care, disability or community services sector.
- Previous experience delivering vocational education and training.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
- A genuine passion for helping others learn and succeed.
- The ability to engage learners from diverse backgrounds and create positive learning experiences.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current Working with Children Check (or equivalent).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current unrestricted driver's licence.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Ability to meet vaccination requirements where applicable.
