We are currently seeking to employee an Automation Technician to join the I2R team.As an Automation Technician, you will be working on industrial electrical controls projects for some of Australia's largest food & beverage processors, Agribusiness and Water/Waste Water providers.This position is based in the Brisbane, with occasional pre scheduled interstate travel.
As an Automation Engineer you will:Deliver automation solutions across the full project lifecycle — from system design and functional specifications through to programming, on-site commissioning, and handoverWork on a variety of control systems including Rockwell, Siemens, and Codesys-based PLCsDevelop and commission SCADA systems,
including Ignition and Citect SCADATroubleshoot and resolve control system faults across a broad range of industriesCollaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose automation solutionsTravel nationally to support on-site commissioning as required
The ideal candidate will: Demonstrated experience in PLC programming, commissioning and fault findingFamiliarity with Ignition or a strong willingness to learnSolid understanding of industrial control systems and SCADA platformsFamiliarity with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.)Excellent computer literacy and technical aptitudeStrong written and verbal communication skillsA commitment to protected work practices and professional conductEffective time management and the ability to adapt to changing prioritiesA logical, solution-focused mindset and a desire to continuously improveA genuine interest in delivering great outcomes for our customers
