Casual Guest Services & House Keeping Assistant

We're looking for a reliable, friendly and detail-oriented person to join our small team at 28 Degrees, a boutique adults-only guesthouse in the heart of Byron Bay.

This is a casual position working Fridays and Saturdays, with the opportunity to cover the occasional Sunday and additional shifts when required.

About the role:

- Preparing guest rooms to our high standard and maintaining exceptional property presentation
- Laundry and linen management
- Managing and supporting the housekeeping team
- Guest services – welcoming guests, personalised check-ins and check-outs
- Responding to guest enquiries via phone, email and in person
- Computer administration, reservations and sales
- Coordinating daily operations to ensure the property runs smoothly
- Managing stock levels and ordering supplies
- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all shared guest areas




- Assisting with guest requests and creating memorable guest experiences
- Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring they are followed up promptly
- Working collaboratively to uphold the warm, relaxed and luxurious atmosphere that 28 Degrees is known for

We're looking for someone who:

- Has a excellent eye for detail and takes pride in their work
- Is reliable, punctual and proactive
- Enjoys working independently and as part of a small team
- Has a warm, friendly nature
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
- Is located in Byron Bay and looking for a long term position

Hours:

- Every Friday and Saturday 9AM - 5PM
- Occasional Sunday cover and extra shifts available
