Crest is seeking a dynamic Commercial HVAC Project Manager to join our growing team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage complex HVAC projects, ensuring successful delivery and exceeding client expectations.
Please note that this role will ultimately be permanently based in Newcastle, NSW. However, your first major project rollout will be located in Taree, NSW before you transition to our main Newcastle base for ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and completion of HVAC projects within specified deadlines and budget constraints.
- Initially work on-site to lead and manage our upcoming project kickoff and execution in Taree.
- Transition to the Newcastle base to manage future regional projects and ongoing commercial operations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct detailed project risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues proactively.
- Monitor project progress regularly and provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding any deviations from the original plan.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits,
and compliance requirements, to ensure adherence to industry regulations.
Main Tasks
- Lead project kick-off meetings and establish transparent objectives, deliverables, and timelines for each HVAC project.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure that project specifications align with client requirements and industry standards.
- Procure necessary materials and resources for each project while optimising costs without compromising on quality or safety standards.
- Supervise on-site installation activities in Taree (initially) and Newcastle (ongoing) to guarantee compliance with technical specifications and safety protocols.
- Evaluate project performance against key metrics such as cost efficiency, resource utilisation, and client satisfaction.

- A proven track record in managing complex HVAC projects within the commercial sector.
- Flexibility and willingness to be stationed in Taree for the duration of the initial project phase.
- Strong leadership, communication, cost-optimisation, and organisational skills.
