Solway Electrical is seeking a dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis in Brisbane, QLD. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or continue your career in the electrical trades under the guidance of experienced professionals. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work alongside qualified electricians, gaining practical hands‑on experience whilst completing your formal qualifications. This role offers the chance to develop a comprehensive skill set in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across residential Solar and Battery installations and residential projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Assisting qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical system
- Solar and Battery Installations
- Learning to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints and technical drawings
- Preparing work sites and ensuring all tools and materials are organised and readily available
- Installing electrical wiring, conduits, fittings and associated equipment according to safety standards and specifications
- Performing basic testing and fault-finding on electrical circuits and systems under supervision
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Keeping accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Attending and completing your electrical apprenticeship training and qualifications
- Assisting with general maintenance tasks and supporting the wider team on various projects

- A strong work ethic, reliability and a commitment to completing your apprenticeship
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefully
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills,
with a solid understanding of mathematics and science concepts
- Physical fitness and the ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A keen interest in learning new skills and technical knowledge
- Valid driving licence (desirable)
