Head of Marketing (Contract to Permanent)

Think & Grow is working with some extraordinary clients and looking for somebody to join our team on a contractual basis 5 days a week with a view to permanent.

We are a global growth advisory, founded in 2015 and headquartered in Melbourne, with a global team across 30+ cities. We're the only advisory that delivers the entire Growth Stack (strategy, technology, and talent) under one roof. Over the past decade we've helped 650+ technology companies grow, filled 500+ leadership roles, and delivered work across 22 countries. Clients include AWS, Stripe, Snowflake, Canva, Xero, Spotify and Harrison.ai.

The Role

- Set and own the marketing strategy across brand, performance, and lifecycle.
- Lead a team of 5 permanent marketers, plus supporting contractors across production and digital marketing.
- Own the marketing budget end to end, with full accountability for return on spend.
- Build brand presence through channels including CTV/BVOD, YouTube, programmatic, PR, partnerships, and organic social, while performance channels (paid search, paid social, SEO) convert the demand that creates.
- Own lifecycle and retention marketing across the customer base.




- Bring robust reporting and measurement discipline to the function.
- Play a genuine player-coach role in a lean team, particularly through the contract phase.

About You

- 8+ years in senior marketing leadership, owning a multi-channel budget and a team of comparable or larger scale.
- Genuine brand and positioning judgement alongside real performance-marketing fluency. Not all-brand-no-performance, or the reverse.
- A proven player-coach who will roll up their sleeves in a lean team.
- Genuine experience with AI-augmented marketing.

This is a contract-to-permanent placement. You'll start on a contract basis so both sides can properly test the fit, with a clear view to converting to a permanent senior leadership role.
