Investment Operations Analyst (12 month FTC)
An exciting chance has arisen for an Investment Operations Analyst to join a rapidly growing and innovative investment business on a 12-month contract. This position sits at the heart of the investment operations function, supporting both managed funds and direct securities/ETF investment products.
This is a broad and hands‑on role offering exposure across the full investment lifecycle—from unit pricing, fund operations and settlements through to client administration, regulatory reporting and investment controls. You'll work closely with teams across Engineering, Finance, Risk & Compliance, and Customer Experience, while also interacting with external brokers, custodians, and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Operations & Unit Pricing
- Support daily and periodic unit pricing activities
- Validate NAV valuations and fund holdings against relevant pricing sources
- Process corporate actions including dividends, stock splits, mergers and rights issues
- Assist with fund distribution calculations and payment processes
Securities & Broking Operations
- Maintain relationships with brokers, custodians and counterparties
- Monitor settlement activity and cash movements
- Process securities and ETF corporate actions
Investment Controls
- Reconcile positions across internal systems and external providers
- Verify trade confirmations and settlement details
Liquidity & Banking Operations
- Monitor fund liquidity and cashflow requirements
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Manage direct debit administration and payment exceptions
- Reconcile client money and suspense accounts
Reporting & Projects
- Contribute to fund performance and fee reporting
- Support FATCA, CRS and other regulatory reporting obligations
- Assist with board and management reporting requirements
Skills & Experience
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- Approximately2+ years' experience within investment operations, fund administration, fund accounting, middle office or financial services operations
- Strong reconciliation experience across cash, securities, or client money
- Exposure to unit pricing and fund operations activities
- Middle office or stockbroking operations experience will be highly regarded
- Solid understanding of investment products including managed funds, shares and ETFs
- Experience using or willingness to learn tools such as SQL, BigQuery, AI-powered solutions and workflow automation tools
