About the role:

As a Mechanical Fitter - Engines you will be working on the overhaul and repair of large 8, 12 and 16-cylinder locomotive engines. This hands‑on role involves dismantling, inspecting, measuring, repairing and reassembling engine components to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety, quality and reliability. If you have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with heavy equipment or diesel engines and take pride in quality workmanship we'll love to hear from you.

About you:

- Ability to read, comprehend and apply technical drawings.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of problem solving skills and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.




- Ability and willingness to further your knowledge and skills with additional training.
- High level record keeping ability.
- Knowledge and understanding of diesel/electric locomotive engines desirable.
- Ability to work shifts and overtime as required.

Skills and experience:

- Trade qualifications (Mechanical or suitable related disciplines).
- Previous experience working within a heavy maintenance/ asset management environment preferred but not essential.
