We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Officer to support the day-to-day operations of a busy site. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for providing general maintenance support across the site, assisting with basic carpentry tasks, and supporting operational logistics such as moving equipment and materials. The role requires flexibility, physical capability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and well-presented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance
- Perform basic carpentry work (desirable, but not essential)
- Assist with site logistics, including moving furniture, equipment, and materials
- Support the overall upkeep and presentation of buildings and outdoor areas
- Identify maintenance issues and elevate where required
- Work collaboratively with the broader facilities and maintenance team
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety and compliance requirements
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, or similar role
- Basic carpentry skills preferred but not mandatory
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Solid teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist across various tasks
Work Schedule
- Rotating shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm and 10:00am - 6:00pm
- Flexibility to alternate shifts throughout the week is essential
Compliance Requirements
- A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to commencement
