Maintenance Officer - The Wesley Hospital

Job Description

Maintenance Officers are responsible for a variety of preventative, scheduled and reactive requests to maintain and service UCH property, including buildings, grounds, infrastructure and equipment. Maintenance Officers will demonstrate a broad skillset to perform activities required and work individually or as part of a team. Work performed will be under limited supervision from a certified tradesperson or supervisor and may require supervision of a Maintenance or Grounds Assistant.

Work undertaken will be conducted to the highest standards of repair, presentation and hygiene. Undertake routine preventative or scheduled maintenance activity promptly and to the highest standard to ensure all employees and visitors safety while at our facilities. Work undertaken may include but not be limited to:

- Maintenance and repairs of hospital buildings and equipment such as minor wall repairs, patching, painting and cleaning




- Non licenced repairs such as resolving water leaks and concrete/paving repairs;
- Conducting critical plant checks (where trained to do so)
- Servicing air handling units, pumps and fans
- Assisting tradespersons as required and responding promptly to reactive maintenance requirements, including minor department and common area maintenance, for example servicing taps, changing light globes and other minor repairs.

Ensure all plant, fittings and equipment meet regulatory compliance standards. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner with work undertaken to a high standard. Ensuring all work activity is documented/logged in the asset management system.
