Northwest Mining Company is looking for a reliable and motivated Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our busy Muswellbrook workshop in the Hunter Valley. You’ll work on a diverse range of mine site light vehicles, company fleet, and retail/customer vehicles, supporting both internal operations and external clients.

This is a hands‑on workshop role suited to someone who enjoys variety in their workday, problem solving, and being part of a strong, safety‑focused team.

Whether you’re an experienced mechanic or an apprentice nearing completion, this role provides a pathway into the mining industry while developing your skills across a wide range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

- Routine servicing and preventive maintenance on mine site and retail vehicles
- Mechanical diagnostics and defect repairs




- Troubleshooting across light vehicles and workshop equipment
- Maintaining accurate job cards and service records
- Supporting workshop productivity and organisation
- Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant work setting

What we're looking for

- Trade-qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic
- Apprentices nearing completion encouraged to apply
- Experience working on fleet, mine site or customer vehicles (desirable)
- Strong mechanical diagnostic skills
- Reliable, team-focused attitude
- High attention to detail and strong safety awareness
