Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements

- We are looking for a talented 2nd Line Support Engineer with previous experience working in IT support.
- We need strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and cloud environments.
- Hands‑on experience with patch management is essential.
- We are looking for someone comfortable working across infrastructure, cloud, and networking environments.
- Experience with Windows Server and Microsoft Windows is required.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 is required.
- Experience with networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls is required.
- Experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V is required.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is required.
- Experience using service management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management is required.
- We require the successful candidate to obtain SC clearance and be willing to continue to obtain SC clearance as needed.
- We are looking for someone who can work early and late shift patterns.

Responsibilities

- We provide hands‑on technical support across a broad range of environments.
- We troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents across infrastructure and end‑user environments.




- We monitor systems and help maintain service availability.
- We carry out patch management and system updates.
- We support new services as they transition into live operations.
- We support 1st Line Engineers to help maintain high service standards.
- We collaborate with vendors and third‑party providers to resolve issues.
- We contribute to high‑security projects in a quick‑paced environment.
