Work Health & Safety (WHS) Officer – Construction Project | Parramatta

Join a leading Australian security and risk management organisation supporting one of Parramatta's premier construction projects.

We seeking a motivated Work Health & Safety Officer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile construction site where you will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, and supporting site operations.

This position is initially offered as a 3-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension based on project requirements and performance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Contract manager and Client, you will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of WHS across a busy construction environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting routine workplace inspections and safety audits.
- Identifying hazards and implementing practical risk controls.
- Delivering toolbox talks and promoting positive safety behaviours.




- Monitoring contractor compliance with WHS legislation and site procedures.
- Assisting with SWMS, risk assessments and protected work practices.
- Ensuring compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act and associated Regulations.
- Liaising with site management, contractors and stakeholders on all WHS matters.

About You

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum qualification).
- Current White Card.
- Strong understanding of NSW Work Health and Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- Current NSW Security Licence.
- First Aid Certificate.
