We specialise in delivering complex projects for leading building firms and architects. Dunsteel are at the forefront of prefabricated stairway design for large multistorey buildings. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Welder who will be responsible for:
- Main task: Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards to establish the job requirements. Plan the work sequence accordingly.
- Select and prepare metal stock. Carry out trial fits for mechanical/structural assemblies. Conduct welding operations to build armoured steel welded assemblies in accordance with the Drawings, Quality Standards and Safety requirements.
- Finish product by cleaning, polishing, filing, or bathing in acid solutions,
or by applying protective or decorative coatings. Exam, use and maintain tools and equipment safely. Maintaining appropriate stock levels of spare parts
- Conduct quality checks to ensure welded components meet industry standards and project specifications. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications: Relevant Trade Qualification
- At least 2 years relevant experience Strong proficiency in Mig welding techniques and processes. Knowledge of welding equipment and tools, and ability to perform routine maintenance.
- Robust attention to detail, accuracy, and quality in work. Work Health Safety (WHS) knowledge Salary Range
$75,000-$85,000 annually Position Full Time
