About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Administration Assistant to join a busy NSW Government team supporting the delivery of important community services. Working within a collaborative environment, you will provide high-quality administrative and customer service support while assisting internal teams and external stakeholders with a broad range of enquiries and operational activities.

Pay Rate: $33.70 – $42.26 per hour
Location: Gosford
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional reception, telephone and email support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond to customer enquiries and direct requests to the appropriate business area.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting agendas and other administrative documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records in accordance with organisational policies.
- Perform data entry while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate meetings, calendars, travel arrangements and room bookings.
- Assist with document preparation, filing and records management activities.
- Support financial administration including processing invoices, purchase orders and other routine transactions.
- Assist with research, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide administrative support for projects, meetings and events.
- Liaise effectively with internal teams, government agencies and external service providers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and privacy requirements.
- Contribute to a positive team culture through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and customer service delivery.
- Undertake additional administrative duties as required to support operational priorities.
About You
- Previous experience in an administration, customer service or office support role, preferably within government or a large corporate environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
- Experience using electronic records management systems or customer management systems will be highly regarded.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience managing high-volume phone enquiries and shared inboxes is desirable.
- Experience using a computerised switchboard will be advantageous where applicable.
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment screening, including reference checks and any required government clearances.
- A National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check may be required for some positions.
- Applicants must have unrestricted working rights in Australia. Sponsorship is not available for these positions, and candidates must hold Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a valid long-term visa with full work rights.
