Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Operations Allocator/Scheduler to join our operations team. If you thrive in a fast paced setting, enjoy problem solving and take pride in keeping transport operations running efficiently, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a Permanent full time position working Monday- Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm
You will be responsibilities will include:
- Planning and allocating freight to maximise fleet utilisation while maintaining safety and compliance
- Coordinating daily transport activities with customers and drivers
- Monitoring and managing driver compliance with Standard Hours, BFM and AFM requirements
- Responding to operational changes and customer priorities in a fast paced environment
- Planning and rostering to meet operational requirements
- Supervising and supporting drivers and operational staff
- Ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Fatigue Management and Company procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry, ideally in an operations, scheduling or allocator role.
- A sound understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility and Fatigue Management requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers, drivers and colleagues.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
The following will be highly regarded
- Operations Schedulers Certification (TLIF0006) or a willingness to obtain.
- Experience within refrigerated, FMCG or palletised freight operations.
- Truck licence and/or High Risk Forklift Licence.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations.
