National Mobile Camps Operations - Toowoomba QLD

National Mobile Camps (NMC) is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to join our growing team.

About the role:

The Field Operations Manager will be responsible for preparing and managing our assets and will oversee all camp operations carried out at field sites. This role will act as a back-to-back with the current Field Operations Manager.

This is a permanent position working on a rotating roster (14 days on and 14 days off). The change in/out location is Toowoomba with accommodation provided at NMC’s Field Operation Facility and at mobile camps operating throughout Queensland.

Tasks and responsibilities:

- Prepare and project manage the mobilisation, rig up/ rig down and demobilisation activities for all camp and site office assets
- Act as a liaison between the Client, Principle Operating Company, Camp Management Service provider and maintenance staff for all site operational requirements
- Participate in any external on site audits and operational inspections, and undertake internal audits on Camps
- Help to prepare documentation for yearly NHVAS audits
- Conduct and or assist with investigations for HSE incidents, near misses and hazards and actively manage the close out of all actions arising from any investigation
- Ensure that all works is carried out within compliance and regulatory standardsli>
- Manage vehicle and journey management
- Supervise employees on site; including undertaking of prestart meetings at NMC’s Facility
- Manage and coordinate work scope for the Maintenance Assistant/Yardperson
- Develop, update and ensure application of Camp operational safe work systems, procedures and processes
- Ensure all NMC tradesmen and camp personnel are trained and competent in safely setting up and packing down camp plant & equipment
- Provide weekly reports and camp schedules to management and back-to-back

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous experience in a senior management or operational role
- Experience leading small,



dynamic teams and mentoring less experienced individuals
- Proven communication skills to effectively engage key stakeholders and employees at all levels of an organisation
- Excellent time management skills to ensure work is prioritised and delivered within specified timeframes
- High level planning, analytical and problem solving skills
- The ability to work autonomously and be hands-on when required
- Robust frontline safety leadership skills; ensuring safe work practices are adhered to by staff and contractors

What we are looking for:

- Experience working on a site based environment within the Oil & Gas, Resources or Construction industries
- Mobile camp operations & field experience
- Experience working in challenging and evolving work environments
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Excel & Outlook
- Current C Class Open Drivers Licence
- Is physically fit and able to work in remote locations for two weeks at a time

Highly Regarded:

- Qualifications in Management or Project Management
- Certificates in ISI / 4WD / Weed & Seed / First Aid & CPR
- Tickets for Forklift or Operate Elevating Work Platforms
