About the Role
Reporting to the PMO Manager, the Project Planner / Scheduler will play a critical role in the successful delivery of Blacktree's portfolio of Defence and technology programs.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, analysing, and reporting integrated master schedules across multiple projects and programs. Working closely with the Program Manager, Project Managers, technical teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders, you will provide planning and scheduling expertise that enables informed decision-making, proactive risk management, and successful delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain program and project work breakdown structures (WBS) and dictionaries.
Develop, maintain, and manage integrated master schedules across a portfolio of Defence and technology projects.
Monitor schedule performance, analyse critical paths, risks, dependencies, and resource requirements, and provide recommendations to support successful project delivery.
Produce schedule reports, dashboards, forecasts, and executive-level insights for Program Managers, Project Managers, and senior stakeholders.
Support baseline management, change control processes, and schedule governance activities to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Engage with internal stakeholders and suppliers to coordinate planning activities, resource forecasting, and delivery schedules.
Contribute scheduling expertise to business development activities, including bids, tenders, proposals, and project mobilisation efforts.
About You
You are a proactive and self-motivated professional who can work independently and take ownership of planning outcomes in a dynamic project environment.
You demonstrate solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex project information, identify emerging risks and issues, and develop practical solutions.
Demonstrated experience in project planning, scheduling, or master scheduling within complex project, program, or portfolio environments.
Proven ability to develop and maintain integrated master schedules, resource plans, and delivery forecasts.
Strong understanding of schedule analysis, critical path management, dependencies, risk management, baseline control, and change management.
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects, preferably within Defence, Government, ICT, engineering, or sustainment environments.
Proficiency with Deltek Open Plan Professional or Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Jira, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
High attention to detail, with a focus on schedule accuracy, governance, and data integrity.
Australian work rights and a current Defence Security Clearance (or eligibility for reinstatement/upgrading to NV1).
Must be eligible to access ITAR-controlled information and provide citizenship, nationality, and residency details for compliance purposes.
Experience working under ASDEFCON strategic materiel, complex materiel, or support contracts.
Experience supporting Defence engineering, capability acquisition, or technology programs.
Advanced proficiency with Deltek Open Plan Professional and Jira.
