Fashion Production Manager

PRODUCTION MANAGER JOB SCOPE

GARMENT SAMPLING

- Setting up all bills of material for the new season into our production software, Niche

- Setting up styles into Niche

- Costings in Niche including AUD and NZ

- Allocating styles to the makers

- Accessory ordering for samples

- Noting which maker received each sample in Niche

- Chasing samples from makers

- Ticketing samples for sale

- Initiating and communicating with offshore suppliers

- Negotiating prices both local and offshore

- Entering sales orders

- Analysing sales and placing fabric and accessory orders

- FOB contracts for offshore suppliers

- Coordinate fit sessions and document detailed fit comments and technical feedback.

- Conduct measurement checks to ensure compliance with approved specifications and fit standards.

- Evaluate garment construction and workmanship, providing recommendations for improvement where required.

GARMENT PRODUCTION

- Monitoring and ordering bulk fabrics and accessories

- Managing and coordinating delivery dates of fabrics and accessories

- Communicating with pattern makers the order of production requirements and setting when samples are to be handed over for cutting/making

- Scheduling markers and cutting





- Passing cutting to making and setting maker delivery dates

- Ensuring the maker has all accessories

- Raise all cut sheets through Niche. Allocate work to internal graders and cutters, external makers and schedule all deliveries for Australian and New Zealand wholesalers, Swish retail and online stores.

- Follow up with makers for pre-production samples, which are passed to the pattern maker for approval

- Allocate retail prices set by retail manager

- Allocating barcodes to the season

- Exporting seasonal styles from Niche to our inventory management system, Lightspeed, via CSV with correct naming conventions, categories and tags

- Monitoring maker delivery times

- Checking quality of production once delivered from makers

- Manage all import and export documentation involving invoicing, shipping and freight.

- Generate weekly sales and inventory reports.

- Break down projected expenses relating to offshore production and delivery time frames and pass to Accounts.

- Allocate invoices for seasonal job coding and pass to Accounts.

GENERAL

- Assisting in despatch and online packing as needed.

- Overseeing and managing the entire running and flow of work in the factory and offshore.

- Assisting the Director and the marketing team to schedule and ensure stock is in-store and available online for weekly EDM’s.

- Weekly reporting on retail stock levels in our inventory management system, Lightspeed.

- Assisting with the preparation for photoshoots and the dressing of models.

- Candidates with formal training in Fashion Design and/or Pattern Making will be highly regarded.

SKILLS REQUIRED

- Strong garment construction and manufacturing knowledge.

- Advanced understanding of fit, grading, measurement specifications, and size standards.

- Experience creating and managing tech packs, specification sheets, and technical documentation.

- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment finishing, and production processes.
