The Sunshine Coast Turf Club (SCTC) is one of Australia's premier racing and events venues, hosting 50 race meetings annually alongside a growing calendar of major events, hospitality experiences and community initiatives.
We are seeking an energetic and commercially drivenPartnerships Managerto lead the growth, retention and activation of our sponsorship and commercial partnership portfolio.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial & Customer Experience, this role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key partner relationships and delivering outstanding commercial outcomes that support the continued growth of the Club.
About the Role
This is a hands-on commercial role combining business development, account management and partnership activation.
You will work closely with corporate partners, local businesses, community stakeholders and internal teams to create mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance the SCTC brand while delivering meaningful value for sponsors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Securing current sponsorship and commercial partnership opportunities
- Managing and growing an existing portfolio of valued partners
- Developing partnership proposals, presentations and sponsorship packages
- Delivering sponsor activations across racedays, events and hospitality experiences
- Managing partnership renewals and retention strategies
- Building strong relationships with local businesses and community stakeholders
- Attending key race meetings, networking functions and major Club events
- Tracking partnership performance and reporting on revenue outcomes
About You
You are a relationship focused professional who thrives on building connections and creating commercial opportunities.
You will ideally bring:
- Proven experience in sponsorship, partnerships, business development, sales or account management
- Strong networking and relationship building skills
- Commercial acumen and a focus on achieving revenue targets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities
- Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate client records
- A proactive, enthusiastic and customer focused approach
Experience within sport, events, hospitality, tourism, entertainment or membership-based organisations will be highly regarded.
