The Golden Crown Hotel Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Venue Manager to lead operations at The Clubhouse Hotel in Yass.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about creating a well-presented venue, leading strong teams, driving revenue growth, and delivering outstanding customer experiences in a regional hospitality environment.

About the Role

As Venue Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel while ensuring the venue maintains high standards across presentation, customer service, compliance, and profitability. You will play a key role in developing business growth strategies, improving operational performance, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Oversee all daily hotel operations including bar, gaming, TAB/KENO, bottle shop, and customer service areas

Ensure the venue is consistently clean, organised, well-presented, and maintained to a high standard

Recruit, mentor, and develop staff to create a positive and professional workplace culture

Maintain compliance with all Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG), gaming, WHS, and licensing requirements





Monitor and maintain venue compliance systems, procedures, and reporting requirements

Drive business growth through promotional initiatives, local engagement, events, and innovative ideas

Analyse venue performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability

Maintain a strong understanding of financial performance including wages, cost of goods, GP percentages, budgeting, reconciliations, and expense management

Assist with stock control, ordering, supplier management, and reducing unnecessary operational costs

Complete daily and weekly financial reconciliations, banking, and reporting requirements

Work closely with senior management to achieve business targets and operational goals

Deliver exceptional customer experiences and maintain strong relationships with local patrons and community groups

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

Previous experience in a Venue Manager, Duty Manager, or senior hospitality management role.

Strong understanding of gaming operations, liquor licensing, and hospitality compliance requirements

Current RSA and ARCG qualifications

Excellent leadership and staff management skills

Strong financial acumen and understanding of hospitality business operations

Ability to identify opportunities to increase trade and improve profitability

High attention to detail and pride in venue presentation

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
