Public Sector People are partnering with local government organisation to recruit for a Project Engineer - Energy, Utilities, and Sustainability
Contract: 6 months contract with potential to extend
Responsibilities:
- The Project Engineer - Energy, Utilities and Sustainability is Council's technical lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for energy management, utilities, renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
- Monitors and analyses Council's energy use identifies cost and emissions reduction opportunities and supports the delivery of Council-wide energy and sustainability initiatives.
- Supports the transition to a Zero Emission Fleet by providing energy data, demand forecasting,
site capacity assessments and technical advice to inform EV charging infrastructure planning and future energy requirements across Council facilities and depots.
- Minimuml 3+years managing renewable energy, energy management projects, ideally within local government
- Bachelor's degree in environmental management OR engineering OR in a relevant field
