Queensland Gastroenterology is a highly regarded specialist medical practice seeking a Chief Operating Officer to balance operational leadership, people development and strategic growth within a successful and growing business.
Working closely with clinicians, staff and the executive, you will ensure the practice operates effectively day-to-day while helping deliver initiatives that strengthen performance, improve patient and referrer experiences, and support future growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational oversight with broader organisational leadership. You will lead a small team, build capability, improve systems and workflows, support a positive and accountable culture, and ensure the practice remains responsive, commercially sound and well-managed.
Success in the role will come from your ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution. You will know when to step into operational detail to solve issues and support your team, and when to step back to focus on improvement,
growth opportunities and longer-term priorities.

You are an approachable and capable leader with experience managing operations, leading people and driving organisational improvement.
You combine empathy with accountability, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and are comfortable supporting teams through change while maintaining transparent expectations and standards.
You bring a practical, commercially minded approach and enjoy working in environments where relationships, service quality and business performance are equally important.
Tertiary qualifications demonstrating an understanding of commercial and business issues will be well regarded. An MBA or similar postgraduate business qualification would be viewed favourably.
