About the Role

As part of our Trade Centre team, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, guiding them with their plant selections using the ePlants "Guide and Step Aside" philosophy, accurately processing orders and helping maintain the presentation of our plants and nursery.

You’ll receive ongoing training in customer service, nursery operations,



plant sales and plant identification while developing a broad knowledge of plants, including their growth habits, growing conditions, soil health, plant nutrition and plant care.

You’ll work alongside an experienced, knowledgeable and supportive team that’s committed to helping you learn, develop and grow your career in horticulture.

This role offers plenty of variety, combining customer interaction with hands‑on nursery work in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and assist Trade Centre customers.
- Guide customers with their plant selections using the ePlants "Guide and Step Aside" service philosophy.
- Accurately process customer orders.




- Liaise with dispatch and production teams.
- Maintain high presentation standards throughout the nursery by watering, pruning, staking, fertilising, weeding, rotating stock, cleaning and maintaining secure, tidy work areas.
- Listen carefully, follow instructions and consistently complete tasks to a high standard.
- Support general nursery operations.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Contribute positively to our team culture.

Skills & Experience

We’re particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate a genuine interest in horticulture through previous employment, study, volunteering, gardening, plant collecting or relevant qualifications.

The following are advantageous, but not essential:

- Previous nursery, horticulture or retail sales experience.
- Plant identification and horticultural knowledge.
- Horticulture Certificate II or similar qualification.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential).
- Confident computer, literacy and numeracy skills (essential for accurately processing customer orders and payments).
