About the Role

The School of Nursing and Midwifery is recruiting for a Senior Clinical Health Simulation Technician to play a key role in providing expertise in the use and implementation of a broad range of clinical simulation technologies that facilitate immersive learning experiences for students within the Clinical Health Simulation Laboratories in the Faculty of Health @UTS.

A key component of the role will be to provide support to academic staff to enhance the learning outcomes of clinical subjects through the integration of simulation technologies, oversee the Junior Clinical Health Simulation Technician Internship Program, and contribute to the health and safety of staff and students who utilise the laboratories.

About You

You are a technical professional with experience and skills in education delivered clinical-health simulation laboratories, preferably in the higher education sector. This will include high level technical qualification in electronics, IT, biomedical or mechanics.

To be successful in the role, you will need to demonstrate your suitability to specific role requirements, which include (and are not limited to):

- An undergraduate degree in Engineering, IT, or relevant field.




- High-level capacity to manage complex issues using innovative and creative approaches to problem solving.
- Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, analytical and risk management skills, including the ability to proactively identify issues, provide advice and exercise sound judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain critical stakeholder relationships, applying tact and diplomacy to influence decisions, resolve issues and support appropriate interdisciplinary team members.
- Fluency in MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with experience using databases and robust administrative capability to organise and categorise assets, manage equipment maintenance, and generate complex reports and statistical analysis.

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $98,792 to $106,966 per annum (HEW 6)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.



The successful candidate will be expected to work full time onsite at UTS Broadway Sydney campus.
