We’re currently seeking an experienced Brisbane-based Design Manager to join GRAYA™. In this role, you’ll be at the centre of our delivery process, driving consultant coordination, design quality, authority compliance and buildability across luxury multi-residential and mixed-use projects.

You’ll work closely with project teams and consultants from early concept through to construction delivery, ensuring every design outcome reflects GRAYA’s commitment to design excellence, build precision and detail-led execution.

This role is ideal for a Design Manager who enjoys structure, clarity, and high standards, and who knows how to balance design intent with buildability, compliance, cost and programme.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the design process end-to-end, from early consultant engagement through to documentation, approvals and construction delivery.

- Coordinate consultants, authorities, and internal stakeholders to keep information moving and decisions progressing.

- Review design documentation to ensure design intent, buildability, coordination and risk management outcomes are achieved.

- Drive documentation quality and issue management, including design registers, trackers, review gates and consultant deliverables.

- Support project delivery teams by resolving design queries quickly and effectively throughout construction.

- Partner with procurement and construction teams to ensure design supports programme and cost certainty.





- Maintain authority compliance and documentation readiness, including certification coordination and approvals pathways.

- Contribute to continuous improvement by strengthening templates, workflows, checklists and design handover standards.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

- Demonstrated experience managing design on construction projects across concept, documentation, approvals and delivery.
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, coordination principles and buildability.
- Confidence communicating with consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts and maintain structured design tracking.
- A solutions-focused mindset, someone who can lead, influence and follow through.
- Qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar are highly regarded.

Experience delivering multi-residential, mixed-use or high-end residential projects is highly regarded
