Reporting directly to the CEO and CFO, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our accounts function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll processing
- BAS preparation and liaison with external accountants
- General ledger reconciliations
- Debtor management and credit control
- Monthly management reports
- Cash flow reporting
- Processing supplier invoices and customer invoicing
- Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
- Supporting management with financial administration
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero (or similar accounting software)
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience
- Strong experience with Xero (preferred)
- Excellent understanding of Australian bookkeeping practices
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Robust organisational and time management skills
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- A proactive and solutions-focused attitude
Experience within the transport, waste management, construction or logistics industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.
