Experienced Boilermakers Wanted
Due to continued growth, Jamieson Sales & Service is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our busy workshop team. This is a permanent full time opportunity working varied road transport equipment, with the chance to be part of a well established and supportive business.
This role is Monday to Friday, with rostered Saturday mornings and overtime opportunities available.
About the role
As part of our workshop team, you will:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on new trucks, trailers and associated components
- Fabricate, modify and repair steel, aluminium and stainless steel components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Complete quality inspections on finished work to ensure it meets our high standards before delivery
- Carry out repairs and custom fabrication to customer requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Work collaboratively with a skilled team to deliver quality workmanship and exceptional customer service
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualifications as a Boilermaker/Fabricator
- Demonstrated experience in MIG and TIG welding
- Experience within the transport industry is preferred but not essential
- Pressure vessel fabrication or repair experience is highly regarded
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- A commitment to producing high quality workmanship and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude, robust work ethic and reliable attendance
- A current driver's licence
- LF Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential)
- Confined Space Ticket (preferred but not essential)
