Utilities & Commercial Maintenance Plumber
RiverCity Maintenance (RCM) is seeking an experienced Utilities & Commercial Maintenance Plumber to join our growing team.
This role is primarily focused on delivering maintenance and emergency response services across the Urban Utilities network, with some additional work across our commercial maintenance division.
You’ll be involved in water infrastructure maintenance, live water meter repairs, leak investigations, emergency response, and some commercial plumbing maintenance for a range of government, utility, and commercial clients throughout Brisbane.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving in the field, can work independently, and has the experience to lead jobs safely.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Clearing blocked drains and sewer lines
- CCTV drain inspections and condition reporting
- Sewage overflow response and clean-up
- Water service leak detection and repairs
- Excavation and replacement of damaged water service pipework
- Water meter repairs and replacements
- Installation and replacement of water meter boxes and meter box lids
- Water valve repairs and replacements
- Raising and adjusting valve boxes to finished surface levels
- Water pressure and flow testing
- Investigating and rectifying low water pressure issues
- Leak investigations and fault finding
- Emergency utility maintenance and reactive repairs
- Civil plumbing and water infrastructure maintenance
- Liaising with utility representatives and completing electronic job reporting
What We're Looking For
- Current QBCC Plumbing Licence
- Experience in commercial maintenance plumbing
- Experience working within the water utilities sector or on utility infrastructure
- Experience with live water infrastructure and civil plumbing (highly regarded)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Current Driver Licence
