Thiess is seeking Excavator Operators to join our team at Pembroke Resources Olive Downs Complex, located approximately 40 kilometres southeast of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin.

Thiess was awarded a 5-year contract with Pembroke Resources to deliver full-service mining operations at the Olive Downs Complex, including mine planning, drill and blast, load and haul, water management, rehabilitation, and the construction of mine infrastructure.

We are offering permanent roles on an event-time 7/7 day/night rotating roster (12-hour shifts) for operators seeking FIFO, BIBO or DIDO opportunities.

Responsibilities

- Operating heavy mining equipment safely and efficiently to maximise productivity
- Adhering to Thiess safety standards, systems, and operational procedures
- Contributing to a strong safety-first and performance-focused culture

Requirements

- Minimum 12 months experience operating production mining equipment (Rear Dump Truck, Dozer, Grader, or Excavator)




- SSE signed competency transcript
- Current open drivers licence
- Valid Standard 11 Certificate
- A solid commitment to maintaining a positive safety culture

About you

- Proven experience operating large Excavators in a mining environment
- Preferred experience with CAT MineStar technologies including Command for Haulage, Fleet and/or Terrain
