An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our high-calibre, accredited general practice in Mount Colah.
At Summers Family Practice, our vision is to attract exceptional healthcare professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality, holistic care with a strong focus on preventative medicine. We are a well-established and supportive practice comprising 9 GPs, allied health professionals and experienced Practice Nurse.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an additional Registered Nurse to work approximately three days per week on a casual basis, alongside our current Practice Nurse. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team-oriented clinical team where you will be supported while enjoying autonomy in your role and contributing to outstanding patient care.

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will play an integral role in supporting our doctors and delivering high-quality care to our patients.
- Chronic disease management and care planning
- Health assessments and preventative health initiatives
- Patient triage and clinical assessments
- Wound care and management
- Childhood immunisations and National Immunisation Program vaccinations
- Influenza, travel and other vaccinations
- ECGs and spirometry
- Assisting with minor surgical procedures
- Patient education and health promotion
- Coordination and management of the treatment room
- Cold chain management
- Sterilisation and infection control
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Supporting quality improvement activities within the practice
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, compassionate and patient-centred approach
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently, safely and calmly in a busy environment
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence
- Previous experience in general practice or primary healthcare
- Experience using Best Practice software or similar clinical systems
- Knowledge of chronic disease management and preventative health programs
