About the Role
As a Painter & Plasterer with Moxie Construction, you'll complete a wide variety of residential works while delivering outstanding workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching and priming.
- Apply paints, stains and finishes to walls, ceilings, timberwork and other surfaces.
- Colour match and mix paints where required.
- Remove and replace damaged plasterboard.
- Install plasterboard to walls and ceilings.
- Install standard and ornate cornices.
- Complete stopping, setting, patching and finishing works.
- Carry out plaster repairs and painting touch-ups to a high standard.
- Measure jobs and inspect completed work to ensure quality outcomes.
- Order materials when required.
- Liaise professionally and respectfully with homeowners.
- Provide daily progress updates.
- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other trades.
- Maintain a protected, clean and organised worksite.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Demonstrated experience in both painting and plastering.
- Trade qualifications in Painting & Decorating, Solid Plastering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 12 months post-apprenticeship experience.
- Residential building experience (insurance repair experience is highly regarded).
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Construction White Card.
- Your own basic trade tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
- Professional presentation and strong customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage your workload and consistently deliver quality results.
- A positive attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to be part of a team.
