Location: Randwick NSW
Work full‑time, Monday to Friday, while learning on the job in a values-driven workplace that encourages professional growth and development.
Please note: This is an entry‑level traineeship position. Applicants who already hold a Diploma or higher qualification in Information Technology (or a related field) may not be eligible under traineeship requirements.
About the Role
We're looking for a motivated, customer‑focused, and enthusiastic trainee to join the ICT Team as a Junior ICT Customer Service & Support Officer.
This is a full‑time traineeship that includes dedicated study time during work hours to complete your Certificate in Information Technology.
As the first point of contact for ICT support, you’ll provide outstanding customer service to staff, students and parents while developing practical technical skills across a wide range of technologies. You’ll work closely with an experienced ICT team to ensure users receive timely and effective support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first‑level technical support to staff, students and parents in person, remotely, via phone, email and service desk tickets.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve ICT issues, escalating where required and following through to resolution.
- Set up, configure and deploy recent computers, laptops and other end‑user devices.
- Record and maintain accurate information relating to help desk requests and ICT assets.
- Coordinate the repair process for damaged or faulty devices.
- Assist with supporting client‑facing applications and information systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve ICT service delivery and customer support processes.
- Provide general administrative support, including assisting with quotations, purchases and deliveries.
About You
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems and is passionate about technology.
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong customer service and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine interest in Information Technology through study, personal projects, gaming hardware, troubleshooting or device building.
- Good time management skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace applications.
- Knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with iOS and Android mobile devices.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different teams.
- Empathy, patience and professionalism when assisting users with varying levels of technical confidence.
- A genuine commitment to completing the traineeship and building a long‑term career in ICT.
Highly Regarded
Experience or knowledge in any of the following will be advantageous:
- Wireless networking fundamentals.
- Printer troubleshooting and support.
- JAMF Pro or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
- Microsoft 365 administration.
Applicants must:
- Hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident
