Sandringham have a full time/casual position open in the Central Coast NSW for a Residential Support Worker (RSW)to provide care with our client. She is non-verbal, has an intellectual disability and suffers fromfrequent seizures.

She is happy and has a beautiful demeanour and is fun. She loves to go out and participate in thecommunity, eat out, go for long walks and meet with others.

An RSW is responsible for implementing training and support services aimed at maximising theliving, social and recreational skills of young people with a disability. Communityinclusion, independence, decision making and personal choice should be promoted through thesesupports, with a focus on individual needs. You will be required to complete detailed dailypaperwork and keep a record of daily activities. Medications are required to be administered dailyand emergency medication as required.

Specifically, this position is full time casual and encompasses all aspects of living including personalcare,



grooming and hygiene; meal shopping and preparation; housekeeping and cleaning; beddingchanges, laundry and ironing. Shift work is required being days, active overnights, evenings. Weekend availability for shifts is required on a rotating roster.

As an RSW, you will participate in all life aspects of the person or persons with a disability as if theyare your own family member. This is a adaptable position with occasional long shifts. This may beevenings, early mornings, overnight or weekend shifts.

The residence is located at Ettalong Beach. The successful applicant will joining a small team ofdedicated female carers. Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Wewelcome students and those wishing to change careers.

You will require or be able to successfully obtain a NDIS workers check and complete the NDIS workers orientation module certificate; undertake a first aid certificate; an Epilepsy and Midazolam training module and complete the Assist with Medication training.
