Timber Treatment Plant Operator and Pole Prefabricator

We are seeking a Timber Treatment Plant Operator and Pole Prefabricator for an immediate start to join our DTM team at our Tiaro site. As a Timber Treatment Plant Operator and Pole Prefabricator, you will play a vital role in our production operations, ensuring the efficient and safe running of our operational processes.

Types of duties include but not limited to:

Operate an automated treatment plant, machinery and equipment for the chemical treatment of timber.

Operate and monitor treatment plant machinery efficiently.

Assist in routine maintenance tasks.

Follow safety protocols and guidelines during all treatment operations.

Maintain accurate records of treatment activities, including treatment quantities and deviations.

Conduct regular checks on treated timber for quality and compliance.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, truck drivers, and other team members.

Measure required length and cuts product to size

Trim knots in poles with chainsaw or planer as required





Identification of poles/piles, marking and attaching of tags

Support other tasks as needed within the sawmill operations.

Ability to work Mon-Thur 6:30am - 3:00pm and Fri 6:30am - 12:30pm. With flexibility to work evening shifts if required.

Skills Required:

Chainsaw experience preferred.

Loader Ticket an advantage.

Ability to follow guidelines and specifications.

Strict adherence to safety protocols and reporting of equipment issues.

Team Player.
