Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail‐oriented Human Resources Manager Generalist with a focus on associate engagement. You will play a key role in shaping our workplace culture through meaningful training, development initiatives, and people‐focused programs.

The Role

/n

This pivotal role plays a key part in supporting the full employee lifecycle, with a solid focus on associate engagement and in‐person training delivery. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with other leaders and associates to ensure HR processes run smoothly, compliance requirements are met, and associates are supported, developed, and engaged throughout their journey with the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n

- Supporting off‐boarding processes, including exit interviews and the preparation and administration of termination documentation.

/n

- Acting as the Learning & Development Champion, ensuring all compliance, departmental, and on‐the‐job training is completed, recorded, and maintained in relevant learning platforms.

/n

- Implementing and maintaining a Learning & Development calendar to ensure training KPIs and compliance requirements are achieved.

/n

- Facilitating on‐boarding activities, including coordinating and delivering in‐person induction and orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of all required employment documentation.

/n

- Coordinating and facilitating instructor‐led training sessions, both internally and with external training providers.

/n

- Supporting associate development through the Digital Learning Zone (DLZ) and Marriott Development Academy (MDA).

/n

- Supporting the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, assisting with hiring managers, and facilitating communication with candidates.

/n

- Maintaining effective employee communication channels in the property (e.g.,



developing daily communications and assisting with regularly scheduled property‐wide meetings).

/n

- Coordinating reference checks, background checks, licences, visas, and employment contracts in line with company procedures.

/n

- Maintaining accurate and confidential HR records, including personnel files, training records, recruitment documentation, and compliance records.

/n

- Responding to HR‐related enquiries from associates and management in a timely, professional, and approachable manner.

/n

- Coordinating and supporting associate recognition, engagement, and Take Care initiatives across Opportunity, Community, and Purpose.

/n

- Managing Workers Compensation claims to ensure appropriate employee care and manage costs.

/n

- Ensuring compliance with all Marriott policies, procedures, and relevant local, state, and federal legislation.

/n

- Supporting workplace health and safety initiatives, including incident follow‐up and participation in WHS activities.

/n

- Collaborating with leaders across the hotel to deliver engagement, wellbeing, training, and development initiatives throughout the year.

Qualifications

/n

/n

- A genuine interest in Human Resources and a relevant degree in the field.

/n

- Prior experience as a Human Resources Manager.

/n

- Previous Human Resources Manager experience within the hotel or hospitality industry is essential.

/n

- A friendly,



approachable and professional interpersonal style.

/n

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Office, Word, Excel and Power Point.

/n

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

/n

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

/n

- Strong attention to detail.

/n

- Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment, effectively managing multiple deadlines while striving to achieve specific targets and objectives.

- A willingness to learn and develop your career as an HR professional.
