WHO YOU ARE
/n
This Darwin-based role supports the commercial and contractual delivery of construction projects through effective procurement, contract administration, cost control, and project coordination.
/n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
/n
/n
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline
/n
- 2–5 years' experience in a Contracts Administrator, Contract Support, Commercial Administrator, or similar role within the construction industry
/n
- Sound understanding of contract administration, procurement, and cost control principles
/n
- Experience assisting with subcontract management, variations, progress claims, and procurement activities
/n
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
/n
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
/n
- Proficiency in Job Pac, Microsoft Office, and project management/document control systems
/n
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project workplace
/n/n
WHAT YOU'LL DO
/n
/n
- Administer subcontract agreements throughout the project lifecycle, including procurement, award, administration, and close-out
/n
- Support the administration of head contract and subcontract obligations in accordance with contractual requirements
/n
- Prepare, assess, and administer variations, extensions of time, contractual notices, and progress claims
/n
- Prepare scope of works, tender documentation, and procurement packages
/n
- Coordinate subcontractor tendering processes, tender evaluations, and recommendation activities
/n
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditure, and support cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting activities
/n
- Prepare and maintain commercial registers, procurement schedules, payment schedules, and project documentation
/n
- Support the preparation of head contract claims, final accounts, and associated commercial documentation
/n
- Assist in identifying contractual and commercial risks and support the resolution of contractual matters
/n
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding contractual and commercial matters
/n
- Track procurement activities, subcontractor deliverables, and key project milestones
/n
- Maintain accurate contract records, registers, correspondence, and commercial documentation
/n
- Support project teams in maintaining accurate commercial and project records
/n
- Participate in project and commercial meetings while supporting effective communication between project delivery and commercial teams
/n
- Develop positive working relationships with stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative, professional, and high-performing team environment
