We're partnering with a global technology business client delivering critical national capability and are looking for experienced Open Shift Engineers to join a long-term programme within a secure Defence environment.
This is an opportunity to work on highly secure infrastructure supporting mission-critical platforms, with excellent contract longevity and exposure to cutting-edge Red Hat technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain enterprise Red Hat environments.
- Develop and maintain Ansible Playbooks for infrastructure automation and repeatable deployments.
- Deploy and support Red Hat Open Shift container platforms.
- Manage Red Hat Satellite environments.
- Support Red Hat CoreOS and RHEL 9/10 operating systems.
- Contribute to infrastructure automation, platform engineering and operational improvements.
- Work within highly secure environments following Federal Government engineering and architecture processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture and operational teams across Defence programmes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Solid experience with Red Hat Open Shift
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 9/10)
- Red Hat CoreOS
- Red Hat Satellite
- Ansible Playbooks & Infrastructure Automation
- Scripted deployments and platform automation
- Experience working within Australian Defence environments
- Strong understanding of Federal Government delivery frameworks and engineering processes
- Experience working within secure or classified environments
Highly Desirable
- Red Hat Open Shift Data Foundation (ODF)
- Experience working within secure enclaves
- Experience across Defence or National Security programmes
- Exposure to enterprise platform engineering and containerisation
Security Clearance
Candidates must hold:
- NV2 Clearance (preferred), or
- NV1 Clearance with the ability to upgrade.
