With a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and performance, our team is expanding and looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead some of our major projects.

About the Role
Cairns Fencing is looking for a responsible Senior Project Manager who will be leading and overseeing the delivery of fencing and associated installation projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure industries. As an SPM, you are to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while also mentoring and developing junior project managers and contributing to the overall capability of the project delivery team.

The SPM, under the direction of the Operations and Construction managers, will coordinate estimates, budgets, and schedules for the client and develop a construction strategy. You will identify subcontractors and workers, liaise with the clients and other professionals associated with the project, and collaborate with the architects, engineers, and specialists.



They also ensure the construction project complies with all building codes and any other legal or regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.

Develop and oversee projects safely, while keeping to timelines and budgets.

Lead project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Manage safety on site, in line with company and legislative requirements.

Communicate with Operations and Construction Managers of various projects.

Oversee monthly reporting, budgeting, and project performance tracking.

Coordinate and order materials as required.

Monitor and supervise staff and projects to ensure compliance with specifications and client expectations.

Requirements

Proven experience in managing major projects (preferably within residential, commercial, and infrastructure industries).

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability in project planning, forecasting, and reporting.

Solid understanding of safety management systems and compliance.

Ability to problem-solve and manage competing priorities.

Relevant qualifications (preferred but not essential).
