Experienced Machine Operator needed for a leading sheet metal fabrication business in Richlands, Brisbane. Operate laser cutters, press brakes and purlin machines. Full-time, immediate start, competitive hourly rate.

About the role

H People has partnered with an established sheet metal fabrication company in Richlands to find a reliable Machine Operator. You'll run and maintain advanced machinery, working from engineering drawings to produce precision sheet metal products. It's a hands-on role in a supportive team with modern equipment and genuine scope to build your skills.

What you'll be doing

- Operating sheet metal machinery including laser cutters, press brakes and purlin machines
- Setting up machines to engineering drawings and job specifications
- Carrying out routine maintenance to keep machines running at their best
- Meeting production targets and deadlines alongside the team
- Running quality checks so finished products meet spec




- Following safety procedures and keeping a clean, organised work area

What you'll need

- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in sheet metal fabrication
- Confidence reading engineering drawings and job specifications
- Familiarity with laser cutters, press brakes, purlin machines and general fabrication tools
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on precision
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Full Australian working rights (citizen or permanent resident)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test

A sheet metal trade qualification is a bonus but not essential.
