The Role
Reporting to the Events Lead and basedin Windsor NSW, the primary purpose of this role is to assist in the deliveryof civic and community events, community engagement programs, administeringCouncil’s Event Strategy and Council’s Event Sponsorship Program and theassistance with general public relations, community liaison and media relationsincluding managing a range of communication programs relating to events withinthe Corporate Communications and Events Branch. There is a physical aspect toboth positions which will include set up and pack down for events.

Youwill be self-motivated and driven to deliver results in a rapid paced workenvironment. You are passionate about community and general public relations. You will be eager to deliverexceptional experiences to the community whilst being an ambassador forHawkesbury City Council.
You have exceptional communication skills and bephysically fit to lift and move equipment in order to perform therequirementsof the position.
- Experience in the delivery of civic andcommunity events
- Understanding of event related legal,contractual and risk management issues
- Experience in the delivery of event policy andprocedures related to Local Government
Knowledge of social media platforms to engageand connect with target audiences
- Experience working with volunteers, voluntarycommittees and community organisations
- Excellent verbal and written communicationskills
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Class C Drivers Licence
- WHS General Construction Work in NSW
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Successful applicants will be required toundergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
- Tertiary qualifications in Events Management,Communications, Public Relations or a related field
- First Aid/ CPR Certificate
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Licence
- TrafficControl RMS Certificate
