We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Corporate Services team based in Devonport. This is an excellent chance for an accounting professional looking to further develop their career.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play an important role in supporting the finance team through financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis while contributing to continuous improvement across the business.

The role

As Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and CFO to support the financial management of the Bonney Group. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting functions while partnering with operational managers to provide meaningful financial insights that support business performance.

About you





At least 12 months experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar position

Completed or partly completed study in relevant accounting or business qualification

Ability to implement and complete activities accurately and on time

Self-motivated, high level of initiative and teamwork

Practical and outcome focused

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
