Symbio Laboratories is currently seeking a Warehouse Officer to join our Brisbane Procurement Team. This is a full‑time position based at our head office in Brisbane Technology Park, Eight Mile Plains.
This role is ideal for an energetic individual who is a fast learner, a strong communicator, and enjoys working in a dynamic and fast‑paced setting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients, while being supported by a collaborative and experienced Procurement team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the receipt of all stock, consumable goods and client samples delivered to the laboratory
- Assist with the delivery of samples to the Sample Management Team
- Delivering supplies ordered to the appropriate parties
- Labelling stock items and storing them to the assigned location
- Handling documents - filing, scanning and copying or retrieval
- Update of stock control and inventory databases
- Provide stock and inventory report to the Purchasing Officer
- General housekeeping duties
- Other related duties as directed by the Procurement team
This role requires a certain level of physical work, including lifting and relocating goods and consumables within warehouse storage areas, in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines and safe work procedures.
About You
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in warehousing operations
- High attention to detail
- Experienced user of Microsoft packages (e.g. MS Word, Excel)
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team success and process improvements
