School Cleaners (Casino/Northern Rivers)

Educlean is proud to be expanding its services in partnership with Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools, delivering safe, reliable and high-quality cleaning services across Catholic schools throughout the region.

As part of this expansion, we are seeking reliable, motivated and detail-focused casual school cleaners to join our growing local team.

These roles offer consistent weekday afternoon shifts, with genuine opportunities for reliable and high-performing team members to progress into permanent part-time and full-time positions as our operations continue to grow.

Available Shifts

- Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 3:10 pm to approximately 5:35 pm

Multiple positions are available as part of a five-person cleaning team.

- Tuesday and Thursday – 3:10 pm to 5:25 pm

Multiple positions are available as part of a two-person cleaning team.

- Applicants may be rostered across selected days or the full Monday-to-Friday roster, depending on availability and operational requirements.

You will play an important role in maintaining clean, safe, hygienic and welcoming environments for students, teachers, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties may include:

- General cleaning of classrooms and learning areas

- Cleaning offices, staffrooms, amenities and communal spaces

- Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting

- Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces

- Emptying bins and managing internal waste collection

- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms and amenities

- Replenishing toilet paper, hand towels, soap and other consumables

- Maintaining cleaning equipment and storage areas

- Reporting maintenance, safety or hygiene concerns

- Supporting periodic and detailed cleaning activities when required

- Following site-specific cleaning schedules and safety procedures





- Maintaining consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Strong reliability and punctuality

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- A professional and respectful approach within a school workplace

- Availability to work regular rostered afternoon shifts

- The physical ability to undertake routine commercial cleaning duties

- Legal working rights in Australia

Previous commercial or school cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Mandatory Requirements

Successful applicants will be required to:

- Hold or obtain a valid NSW Working With Children Check

- Hold or obtain a National Police Check where required

- Complete applicable school, diocesan and Educlean induction requirements

- Comply with all site safety, presentation and conduct standards

- Provide evidence of their legal right to work in Australia

Reliable transport and a current driver licence are preferred but not essential.
