A little about us
Tucked in the heart of Canungra, just 40 minutes from the Gold Coast and an hour from Brisbane, we're the friendly local at the gateway to Lamington National Park. Family-owned and independently run, we do country hospitality with a modern twist — a busy bistro slinging wood-fired pizzas and hearty pub feeds, a lively bar with the footy on, a gaming lounge, a bottle-o, 11 boutique rooms, and a cracking functions and weddings space. There's always something going on, and no two days are ever the same.
The gig
As Duty Manager you'll be captain of the ship on shift — keeping the beers cold, the service sharp, the team smiling and the punters happy. You'll run the floor across the bar, bistro and gaming, look after cash-ups and compliance, handle the odd curly moment with a grin,
and make sure everyone — staff and guests alike — has a ripper time.
What we're after (the non-negotiables)
- At least 5 years in a management role — you know how to lead a team and run a venue
- A current RMLV certificate and Approved Manager's Licence
- Happy to work nights and weekends — that's when the magic happens in hospo
- A hands‑on leader who stays calm under pressure and is genuinely great with people
- A solid all-rounder across bar, bistro/floor and gaming operations
- Current RSA & RSG (or happy to get them sorted)
