Ron Allum Deep Sea Services (RADS) is a 100% Australian company that designs, builds and tests specialist underwater systems proven to operate in the deepest, most remote points on the planet. We are currently seeking a Production Administrator (full time) to join our business.

About the Role

This is an administration role to support RADS production activities. The position is full-time and would suit someone with a wide skill set and previous production administration experience.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will involve:

- placing purchase orders, recording them in the new MRP Inventory Management system and coordinating the arrival, receipt and storage of parts;
- assisting with the ongoing development of the MRP software and working with the rest of the team on system continuous improvement;
- managing the production inventory, recording on the system and reordering supplies and stock as necessary;
- recording receipt in / dispatch out stock movements in the system;
- working with the Production and Engineering Teams to coordinate and record production orders;
- coordinating stocktakes and cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy;
- managing and recording work orders in the new MRP system in a timely manner;




- assisting sourcing the most cost-effective materials, goods, products, and services;
- establishing and maintaining qualified relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers;
- assisting in production scheduling and reporting;
- general clerical duties and administration as required.
- Liaising with accounting personnel to ensure all processes are Xero compatible
- Hands-on experience with production MRP, inventory and purchasing software
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills
- Excellent networking and time management skills
- Proven experience as an Administrator
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft products computer skills
- High attention to detail

Skills and Desirable Criteria

- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Negotiation skills and experience in working in RFQ/ contracts formats
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
