About your new job
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and posting of transactions
- Reconciliation and clearing of outstanding items on the General Ledger
- Processing general ledger journals
- Assist with regulatory requirements such as Tax, FBT, BAS, external audit etc
- Processing Intercompany transactions
- Assisting with reconciliation & clearing of supplier rebates
- Preparation of Supplier rebate invoicing and follow-up for collection
- Management & posting of accruals & prepayments items
- Administration of the company’s motor vehicle leases, fuel etc
- Support accounting and analysis of inventory movements as well as KPI and monthly reporting
- Transaction analysis to support profit centre & regional managers
- Assist the other team members where required
About You
You will be an Assistant Accountant or Junior/Graduate Accountant with some accounting experience and the ability to put your knowledge into further practice.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have exposure in the following:
- Previous experience in a finance role, however, some training will be provided.
- Previous exposure to month-end processes will be ideal but not essential
- Strong Knowledge of Excel
- Strong communication skills as well as attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Degree qualified
- CPA/ CA – have commenced or are planning to
