Server & Network Infrastructure Engineer

Up to $450 per day including super

I’m currently partnering with one of my clients to find an experienced Server & Network Infrastructure Engineer to join a large enterprise technology team on an initial 12 month contract based in Sydney.

This is a true infrastructure role and applicants must have hands on experience supporting both server and network environments. Candidates with experience in only one discipline will not be considered.

What you’ll be doing

- Administering and supporting VMware virtual environments, including ESXi and vCenter
- Managing Hypervisor infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
- Supporting Linux and Windows Server environments
- Administering Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
- Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Cisco network infrastructure, including switches and routers
- Supporting LAN/WAN connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs across enterprise environments
- Monitoring, maintaining and optimising both server and network infrastructure to ensure high availability




- Performing upgrades, patching, maintenance and troubleshooting across the infrastructure environment

- Proven commercial experience supporting both server and network infrastructure is essential
- Strong VMware administration experience, including ESXi and vCenter
- Experience with Hypervisor technologies
- Robust Linux administration skills
- Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience
- Hands on Cisco networking experience, including switching and routing
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and enterprise networking concepts
- Strong troubleshooting skills across both server and network technologies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a technical team
