Delica Australia Pty Ltd JOB TITLE or POSITION: Irrigation Specialist – (ANZSCO 362712 - Irrigation Technician). REPORTING TO: The position reports to the Farm Manager. QUALIFICATION: Must hold at least a relevant AQF Certificate III.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum two (2) years of full time or equivalent work experience in a similar role. We work as one and are looking for likeminded people who adapt into a flexible working space and are willing to assist in getting jobs across the line. Maturity and motivation to work unsupervised on intricate tasks.
A desire to learn and expand skill base.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for an enthusiastic person with the right skill set and experience to join our team. Installing, operating and monitoring irrigation systems across multiple production blocks.
Monitoring substrate conditions including electrical conductivity (EC), pH, and moisture levels for proper installation, operation and maintenance of the irrigation systems. Supporting irrigation scheduling based on crop growth stage and environmental conditions. Observing plant response to irrigation and nutrient application.
Identifying signs of water stress, nutrient imbalance, and irrigation inconsistencies.
Reporting system performance and assisting with adjustments to optimize irrigation delivery. Supporting crop production activities directly linked to irrigation performance.
SALARY: A$80,000 – A$90,000 annual base pay + superannuation.

LOCATION: The position is predominantly based in Wamuran, QLD 4512 – T&G; Global Limited. However, there will be occasions where work is required to be carried out at different locations.
This is a full-time position with minimum 40 hours a week. Flexibility is required for harvest hours of operations and during peak periods.
